About me
My name is Valeria Lerma. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas with a Supervisor designation. I have 15 years of professional experience providing psychological assessments and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I work with a variety of cross-cultural issues with a specialization in acute and chronic, adult and developmental trauma. From a macro standpoint, I have 10 years of combined leadership experience serving inpatient and outpatient populations within the private, governmental, and non-profit sectors. I have also worked as a clinical consultant across Texas and other states with a specialization in clinical training and program development. As a Clinical Supervisor, I have supervised over 40 clinicians to full licensure. Currently, I am the Director of Strategic Business Initiatives at San Antonio Behavioral Health, where my focus is on developing and implementing internal quality and safety initiatives, as well as overseeing strategic partnerships and collaboration efforts to further offer ourselves to the community as a subject matter expert and resource for individuals in crisis.
