About me
Muriel Lanford, a board-certified trauma nurse, holds both baccalaureate and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and has practiced at multiple trauma centers across the country.
Ms. Lanford served 10 years as Trauma Program and Emergency Preparedness Director for a large healthcare system in Texas. After consulting for several private healthcare corporations, she subsequently worked as a professional speaker, educating healthcare staff around the country on all aspects of trauma care.
Ms. Lanford’s volunteer efforts focus on educating healthcare colleagues about human trafficking, and training various clinical and non-clinical groups on the effects of trauma on the brain. She currently works with Ransomed Life Texas, a San Antonio-based non-profit, anti-trafficking organization.
